Bible journaling to me, is a way to be in communcation with God. It’s a way to put on paper what God is teaching, promises He wants me to remember, or who He is. I’ve been journaling for eight months and have learned so much. When I first started journaling, I was discouraged because I didn’t feel like I was creative at all. God reassured me that it doesn’t matter what I think about it, He sees my heart and knows what I’m trying to express. I gave myself permission than to make mistakes as long as it’s coming from my heart.
I’m in a season in my life that I have realized, I NEED God. I’ve always known that I needed Him but I don’t think I have ever been in a place where I aboslutely can not function without talking to Him. Bible journaling has given me a way to be in communication and to be creative along the way.
I realize now how much scripture I have memorized and where it is located because I can put a journal to those certain verses. When I’m having a tough day, I get out my Bible Journal and look through what I have done in there and what God has taught me recently. He is faithful and He always reminds me of that.
