Setting Goals for Myself

I finally set some goals. I haven’t bothered setting any because.. well life. And honestly it had been just really hard to put any energy to myself and I could see that it was really affecting me. So much of my time and energy was going toward preparing for homeschool and just everyday life. Now that we are set with homeschool, I decided to focus more on my overall health.

I finally scheduled the routine check ups for myself that I’ve been putting off. I’ve been getting dental work done that has been put on the back burner for years. I’m journaling more consistent, exercising and putting more effort to the nutrition I’m putting in my body.

My goals right now are to create habits that are going to be better for me in the long run. So for me that looks like…

*Waking up before my kids (so 5:30am) Monday thru Friday so I can have alone time
*Journaling everyday (this is when I normally pray and do a devotional and focus on things to be thankful for)
*Exercise at the gym or at home at least 3-5 times a week (this had to be done in the morning before kiddos are awake)
*Eat better (for me thats saying “no” more to carbs and sugar and foods that I just go overboard with like pizza, fries, donuts, and hamburgers)
*Eat at home! (not only will this help me make better choices for my body but it will help our finances)
*To drop 10 pounds by the end of the year (the latest) why? Because some is still baby weight and I was most confident with my body when I was the weight before I got pregnant with my son in January of 2017.
*To be more present in whatever I am doing

I’m sure my goals will change as habits are formed, but this is where I’m starting to focus on myself, which in turn will benefit my family. 🙂
